MID WEEK BREAKFAST MEETING WEDNESDAY 23rd OCTOBER 10AM

Great set of photos ta. BTW, I resemble that remark.
Once over the M1 it was just lovely to be back in beautiful hilly countryside.

A quick stop off to have a look around Peak Rail at Darley Dale, before calling for an ice cream at Monsal Head.

Looks a nice place but £4.50 for an ice cream is taking the mick.

Too right it is. If I didn't have this knee I'd have turned the van over with him inside. :D

Such a nice autumn day, the colours are just stunning so after Monsal Head it was home via back roads.

The Derwent directly below Ladybower

Good day out and very commendable brekkie & coffee, thanks for organising, and the warm welcome….
Home at 2pm, fuel light came on as I got back, nice full tank day.

During my run South on the A1, I moved through slow moving traffic & caught up with a large load (modular buildings on two low-loaders) being escorted by a Vito van. Van driver beckoned me alongside and after some CB radio mic waving (presumably talking to truck drivers) the trucks moved left and the van driver enthusiastically waved me through the gap created - in lane 2. I eased through and waved to the truck drivers, and enjoyed the clear A1.
Ate a Yorkie once home, in honour of the helpful trucking chaps.

2x1 club at work!
Sorry I couldn't make it. Anna back home again now, with a stinking headache and on the waiting list for a new device that will obviate her injections.
