My helmet is hard wired with the autocom speakers and mic. This has the 7pin male connector attached. The motor cycle is autocom wired, when I am on my wife's scooter it would be nice to plug my g7 into my helmet for bike to bike.

Does any one have a wiring diagram for the autocom system to the midland g7?

What where would I get the midland g7 part number?

Thanks

Wayne

Give Sam at Chainspeed 01994-484428 a call.

It is really important to know what system you are running already - especially if it is a Logic which uses different helmet speakers to the rest of the Autocom range.

I have recently started to teach my daughter to ride and her helmet was already wired for Autocom.

My preferred solution was:-
a) pick up an old Autocom Active Plus from eBay (£22 delivered) - this unit is small, has VOX activation for the radio, and can be battery powered with a 9V PP3, and is compatible with the existing headset. An alternative would be the old Pro-7 Sport, but it is larger. This and the radio fit in a bum bag around her waist or could go in a pocket.
b) Part 2374 will connect the Midland G7 to the 5-pin grey lead on the Active Plus.

Hope this helps,

John

call me a tight wad , but did not want to spend even more money after the scooter, but will look at ebay for the active plus.

currently £60 ;-( but includes a kenwood ubz

may have to just contend with an in ear vibration mic direct to the midland.
