Can't comment as despite waiting patiently for an hour and a half (& politely promoting them twice) my breakfast never appeared. No apology from the manager either just a surly attitude.

Frequently wanted to eat there but maybe not now.
There’s another cafe not far from there - The Buzz Stop at Rand, just up from Rand Farm park. Superb large breakfast and toast for £8.

Indeed. I was told the refund should be in my account 'within a week' but if not to go back and ask again.
I agree about the Buzz stop, had lunch there recently and it was superb.

I should add by way of balance that the breakfasts looked pretty nice and the lucky ones who got them seemed to enjoy them
Sundries weren't cheap -
A bowl of baked beans, £1.75
2 slices of toast, £2.50
Cup (not a pot) of tea £2.80.

And also TBF, the refund for my breakfast is in my account.

Thanks team D&L for organising. The poor girl in front of house was on her own and rushed off her feet. Been there a few times and normally much better staffed.
Good venue though, food nice when it arrives, oh and company not half bad to boot.

Very sorry to hear you didn't get breakfast you would have liked. We have visited several times without any issues and have always found staff to be very accommodating. As regards to the price, having arranged the midweek breakfasts for a number of years now, prior and post Covid all prices seem to be on par wherever you go. We are always very open for anyone else on the forum to arrange said breakfasts (at least that would give myself and Lorraine time out). On that note Mistacat will be arranging the next midweek breakfast as I am due to have back op in August.
Hopefully everyone else was satisfied and it was good to catch up socially.

Best midweek turnout for some time.

I wasn’t aware E-CCC didn’t get his breakfast until reading this.

We had a slow service the last time we met there as they were short staffed then and only open at 10.

I have to say the young girl serving alone did very well and took control by asking us politely to wait for the first orders to go through and to come back to the counter a bit later.

Sitting and chatting was much better than waiting in a queue.

The food was good and my tea was a small pot.

Great to see PMVern back on two wheels and making a good recovery

More bikes arrived after I took these pics and I don’t mean the second biker group.

Hopefully we will get to see some of the photos taken inside the cafe.

Apologies if it came across as a moan aimed at yourselves, it certainly wasn't intended that way as I know what a PITA sorting anything like this is, so thank you for doing it.
The young lassie who was on her own originally was very good but the 'couldn't give a fck' attitude from the manager who arrived later didn't impress me.
But as others have said it was nice to see everyone again so TY again for sorting it.
