Being new to the world of GPS sat nav gizmos I'm still sparing with my recently acquired Zumo 550. I've been looking into mounting the bugger above the dials so it doesn't get in the way so the obvious choice is the Migsel mount. I've also been eyeing the TT mount too, the one that's supposed to save the device from vibration damage.

My question is whether the TT spiele is true, will riding over 'potholes' fubar my zumo? Will I need a TT mount as well as the Migsel? I'm not planning on going hardcore off roading, mainly riding tarmac although I do hit the fire trails every so often.

The TT blurb is plausible in theory, bullshit in practice.
A Migsel mount will be fine......and cheaper:thumb

As I imagined, thanks :thumb2

About to order on Migsel site, is there a promotional code/discount for tossers?

The zumo has short arm in the mount kit, which is what I suggest when using with Migsel speedo bracket (it has RAM-B-238 ball). Earlier devices such as SPIII/26x0 with 3" arm would introduce vibration which was not prevalent with short arm.

The RAM ball/mount can take a 50g shock, we can't !
