Not so much a rideout report though he did ride here from Norfolk but ever since Steptoe posted about having Pie & Mash, King of the Ride Report has wanted to chalk up that experience, well today though we couldn't do the full marble tables, benches and sawdust floors Mike did get to lose his Pie & Mash virginity....
As an extra treat and to mark the occasion, my local purveyor of this fine Lundon cuisine threw in some stewed eels, as seen in the small bowl on the left, it was a generous offer as I told Mike they were going in the bin otherwise
Served with of course only the finest chilli vinegar and the cheapest ground white pepper and a mug of hot tea served in a Garmisch Bikermeeting mug.
He doesn't look to sure as he stares his first bit of eel square in the eye (well more like mid body actually...
Someone get a bowl I think this one is coming back!!
After two goes at the eels, Mike changes his focus and manfully attempts to put away the GS sized portion of pie, mash and licker...
This man will not be beaten and he saw off the whole dish leaving only the rest of the eels
Little Miss Judge was so impressed with Mike's efforts she presented him with a gold star and a picture of King Mike in his castle, it was probably these two items that weighed heavily on him and caused him so much difficulty in moving after his tea
It is probably no exagerration that Mike may not require food for some time to come :lol:
