I noticed 2 weeks ago that there was a faint coating of oil on the bottom part of my left fork (bottom of the telescoping shiny metal part). I've wiped it clean a few times and it reappears with a line of grime from the fork compressing. Above the line there is no oil at all so the oil leak is coming from the bottom seal somewhere. I read through the previous post on here and they were all about changing the seals at the top of the fork leg and I don't think that's the problem.

Anyone any ideas?
My next service is about 2000 miles / few months away; should I leave it?

Cheers

Your fork seal is leaking.

Don`t confuse it with the dust seal.

Fix it.

Cheers. That's what I was hoping I didn't have to do. Anyway...I'll have a go and report back..
