after thinking about it and getting it MOT'd I'm thinking of selling my as above described BMW Mini Cooper S R53 (supercharged)
good points just been MOT'd, and serviced, had to replace a wheel bearing passenger side, everything works, Sunroof does not leak, AC good. Bad points 123K on the clock has a good service history but has no trade in value. This was a family car then got handed down, and then bought by one of my employees, I bought it for a laugh and he was keen to move it on as he's gonna move into London this a group 40 car... which would be too expensive as a run about there. Also he won't have a parking space, so it would just get shagged. The interior shows some signs of wear (drivers seat mainly, after 123K it's no worse than others) I was thinking about getting it retrimmed then thought again, as it's either a keeper with all it;s associated costs, or it's a move it on.... It is a scream to drive, and easily quick enough to loose your license with... so not a first car for a newly passed person. It's pretty sturdy on the motorway and has a nice solid feel to the drive with a nicely weighted steering wheel feel that is just about right for the size of car, and not too light to make it feel out of control if you have a heavy right foot. The stereo was upgraded by previous owner for bluetooth phone stuff (which I don't know how it works, but it works) 2 keys all the paperwork I have
The R53 has has a cult following there's several fan pages which put the price of this around £2,500- £3,500
I'd like £2,500 any questions please feel free to ask, it'll be SORN as of the end of this month. As the road tax will be due
for that sort of money it's a fair amount of car, plus it's actually very low profile and you sort of disappear into the crowd with it...
finally the plastics are starting to show zebra stripes this can all be cured with restorative products, just needs time and effort. there's a few other things that could make it tidier, which makes it a honet proposition, I did briefly think about turning it into a track car.... but don't have the time, space or money to a good job of it...
so it needs to go, sensible offers would not be turned away.
