Hi, FYI

Maybe obvious (but not enough for manufacturers of the compressor to indicate in their sales info) but some/all tyre compressors draw too large a current to use the DIN aux socket although they come with a DIN plug.

Never thought to check the power/current etc and assumed when I bought it if it had the DIN plug on it would work out the box.

Glad I checked it before needing it on the road side as it was bought just as part of a puncture repair kit and not to by used at home.

Not a big problem I rewired it to connect to an Optimate style SAE71 battery lead, found cheap on on FFX.co.uk tool site - Sealey for a solar charger - just check polarity !

Tried mine via the DIN socket and after a minute or sos it tripped out the CANBUS

I'm going to put a SAE plug direct to the battery so my cycle pump will work
