Speaking puhsunally, I think it is good value to promote Ireland in Saudi, they have loads of dough and want to send kids to English speaking countries for 3rd level edjukashion. They have to pay mich higher fees than the natives so it is a good earner. LB

I'm strongly inclined to agree with your sentiments - it has become too easy to reflexly attach the term "junket" to any foregin trip.
Ireland has to sell itself. I for one am not backing a return to Dev's isolationist Ireland.

Get them lads & lassies over hear & we'll teach them how to be good bleedin english speakers & how to do lots of other useful feckin things (but not banking or property speculation) - hopefully Richard Bruton will have a more delicate turn of phrase & "sell" it more subtly.
