As someone who has quickly assimilated the soft RT riders expectations to draughts I wondered has anyone used mirror deflectors...? I have bar risers that now put my hands slightly in the breeze, tut, tut... As anyone can appreciate this is totally unacceptable and with warm palms, arse, etc it will not do... If they're crap, just say...

It a slippery slope this RT malarkey...

What level of RT ness are we talking about, is it the most up to date model that wafts along leaving the rider in completely still air even whilst riding at the national speed limit?

Apologies for leaving the question hanging in uncertainty... Alas, I am a recent convert to an 07RT after a decade of fighting RT'ness... I even had an Aeroflowed 11GS which I called my GSRT...:)

I have an old bus of an Airhead RT though and have had a few K's along with GS's so know a decent fairing or two... I imagine the newest 12RT doesn't have rattles like the Airhead and the spinny vents will be missing... Trouble is after years of fighting RTness and R12's in general I have been assimilated... It's almost like that old Yank series "Invaders"...:)

Wunderlich do these deflectors but they may be crap and that would be pricey crap...

Sadly I have become too pissed off with fighting the breeze and commuting up here has been a battle of late... The RT is sooo easy and giving in to "all-day" comfort has been very simple...:)

I had an 08 RT and ended up putting 30k on it.

I also had the bar risers, but put a Cee Bailey screen on (the big one) and never had any hand breeze issues.

My level of RT assimilation has seen me with a full heated clothing setup, and cold hands are not something I recall, but then I also don't remember what I had for dinner so that's not saying much.

I've got a big screen as well which is a fair difference... I think that perhaps the recent gales and crappy weather might have affected things... :) The one thing that BMW have nearly always got right on the RT's is the fairing...

Also the 12RT is back to the era of the KLT's as it has a decent seat... Cheers
