Mirror removal help

Hey up

Can someone give me a tip or two on how to get the glass out of my mirrors
on me r100GS
I had a set with broken plastic backings but good mirrors
I now have a bike with speckled mirror and good plastic backing
I would like to utilise the good bits and scrap the rubish

Mick the glued and don't separate well thats why it's like it is I had to repair that one. You'll need to dosh up about £18.00 for a new one.......

Mick,
Dunno if yours are the same as the R80g/s ones but I`ve got an old right hand mirror off my Mk1 LegoBike here.

Round mirror (glass okay),end of stem goes through lever clamp/switchgear assembly,M8 male threaded end.
You`ll have to paint it though,as it`s in a fetching shade of KTM Purple.

Yours for a cooked brekky sometime.

I am nearly always in home or out ont bike
I will get a new un same as Archie says as my painting is discussssting
That is - I will get one when the spotted one gets tooooo spoty
