The '93 R80GS wouldn't tickover and was stalling. Over 2000, the problem disappeared. I suspected that a pilot jet might be blocked and starting the bike from cold found that the right cylinder was cooling that the left. I removed, cleaned and dismantled the carb but found nothing.
The misfire was still there when restarting the bike. Changing the plug made no difference but I did heard a HT discharge from the right lead, and decide to change the coil.
Problem solved, but I have to balance the carbs.
On a run at the beginning of August, the bike didn't seem to be running right and later that day I found that the right plug cap wasn't fully seated on the plug. I wondered if this has damaged the plug cap or the HT lead, and if this was the cause of the msfire?
