HI from sunny Jersey Boy it dosnt take much to get you guys going does it.
Re new members and coments "GREAT FUN"
Seroiusly ive got over the ugly panniers now and into the serious questions

To get this beautiful machine performing as it should and sounding a whole lot better then a bloody lawn mower. What upgrades would you guys reccomend. While the wife is in a good mood!
PS possible upgrade for the wife maybe????

Just get an Airyhead to play on and keep your 1200 for show:augie

FYI I only have Airyhead BMW's cos I'm a Luddite, and can't be doing with trhe newfangled oilyhead fings:D

It would have to be an after market can then, such as a Remus or Akro - for noise you cannot do a lot more, well maybe get the cordless out and drill some holes...

as always: suspension, suspension, suspension.

hi BTW :)
Look at cams and engine management if needed, air filter etc.

But it is a GS 1200 - they are quite quick out of the box and handle well as standard, maybe consider some track days and explore the handling limits. Or just hack it in for an HP2 :) But that has downsides like hitting reserve at 65 miles :blast

upgrade to the R1100GS.:thumb

hmmm ... I could answer, but I won't .... but to keep on your serious note I hope you dont mind but I'm going to move your thread over to the right section of this forum for you, called the 'Go on, you know you want one'

A brand new view for your window .... enjoy :)

If you want to reply to any of the posts and quote the comment made (as I've done above) , click on the word 'quote' at the bottom of the senders post.

Multi quotes : These are particularly useful if you want to reply to several people at once in your single post. Use the multi quote button on each of the senders post and it will automatically copy into your reply in the order that you click them in.

There is a practise section further down the forum which you can use. You can start your own thread there and delete it yourself if so required.

The links below:

However, if you get stuck or need any further information give a virtual shout and somebody will try and help you.

Think about becoming a site sponsor and other areas of the forum will open to you. You can't gain access to them at the moment especially the For Sale & Wanted area which I think you'll find particularly useful.

Hope the above helps.
