This posting comes about because of a conversation with Blue Sweeper yesterday after we got exhausted watching two tossers on 1150/1200GSs try to get up a muddy bank during yesterday's Surrey Trail Ride
Firstly read this short thread.
I was using a Mitas CO-2 on the the back of my DR-Z. It's the best tyre I've ever used off road. It's E-marked and, I am told is road-legal (see linked thread).

From this table you can see that the CO-2 is a mid-range 'Cross' performer:
and is available in 130/80-17 M/C TT - so should fit an HP2.
