After months of trying to pick up a decent reasonably cheap secondhand Akro or Remus end can for my 2011 GSA with no luck I took the plunge and ordered a MIVV oval titanium end can and link pipe from BRS Tuning.
Had to wait a few weeks for delivery as the factory apparently take off August for a holiday.

It arrived on friday and first impression was that the quality is very nice, it is light (at least half the weight of the standard), welds are good and general finish is good.

Fitting took ten minutes and it is far less cumbersome and bulky than the standard exhaust, it tucks in nicely and with the carbon end can looks the part.

With the standard baffle fitted it makes the same amount of noise as a standard can but on throttle openings in higher gears at lower speeds it is quieter than the standard can with a little less of the annoying bark.

On the road pick up is possibly slightly improved (difficult to tell) but it performs as well as the standard can.

It also gives more clearance if I run the bike on the rt wheels.

All in all very happy with it , came in at £290 delivered

I like the look of it but would definitely take the baffle out.

Personal choice but I'm after the quiet life, plus my wife suffers from tinnitus so would object

on holiday in majorca i hired a honda varadero 1000cc and it had a pair off those mivv cans on ,very nice sound just right .and at the time when i had a look at them i thought the quallity was very good.

I does look nice. You might want to put in a link pipe extension or an end pipe extension so the gasses exit behind the side case. That will help to avoid the case smelling of exhaust fumes and the noise wont echo back off the case.

PS. I get both issues with my cases/exhaust (not a mivv) but wear ear plugs and rarely carry a pillion.

Neat looking pipe, and a good price.

I'm soon to upgrade my 09 GSA to a TC GSA, so i'm looking at aftermarket Zorst options.

I've removed my Remus/Akra system from my old bike, with a view to fitting it to new new-un. But i'll have to disconnect that poxy exhaust valve thingy.

You can use a pre twin cam end pipe on a twin cam, just get a new link pipe made up by an exhaust specialist

Yes, but its a shame that no one sells these links pipes, as finding someone to make a one-off is a pain in the arse.

Stuck the standard pipe on and did a 5 mile local route then came back and swapped the pipe for the MIVV and rode the same route followed by a 60 mile jaunt around the borders.

The MIVV has slightly better pick up than the stock exhaust there are no flat spots and sitting at constant speeds ie 70mph it is quieter than stock which drones .

All in all very happy with it so far

No. not even tempted to remove the baffle I'm getting to old to do noisy
