Mivv Headers

Hi All,

Anyone fitted them? just got a set through in the post. There is a photo, showing the exhaust valve retained with the cables bolted onto the Mivv exhaust. It then has what looks like some weights you add to the cables. Just wondered if anyone had fitted these and could shed some light on what I should do with the valve and / or valve cables ?

The diagram looks as if it does away with the flappy valve much like my Akro does in which case i would dispense with the cables as well as they serve no purpose once the valve has gone
Disconect and leep in a safe place !

Cool thanks man. just looked a bit odd, but if I can remove it I will (and put it with all the other parts I appear to be collecting off my bike haha)

I hope that the butt welds on your headers are better than in the pic.
You'd think they would use ones with nice welds in their instructions!
Keep an eye on them over the next few months for cracks, as you know an exhaust gets very hot very quickly and also cools very quickly and welds need to take stresses of expansion and contraction.

Hi All, Turns out the pipes do come with the provision to retain the exhaust valve 'actuator' and cables. You put some springs and clamps on the end of the cables, so the cable doesn't go slack in operation then it bolts to that flange on one of the pipes out the way. I've installed them like this and will see how it performs. if they rattle around or anything i'll remove it.

Thanks a2zworks for the heads up. Will keep an eye out but the welds on the actual product look good to me and I really like the shape of the pipe, over stock. I fitted them last night, it was a pretty quick swap actually and it mates up perfectly to my Leo Vince end can. it's feckin loud !!

Yes you are correct those welds look 100% better, should be fine.
Enjoy your rejuvenated bike, look after your licence as you'll want to twist the throttle even more now as it sound now

I really like it. I find it much more comfortable and it makes for a sportier ride because your not sat in a 'saddle' it feels like you can throw the bike around easier. It also looks the nuts The stock seat would cut into the underside of my legs, this one is narrower at the front and doesn't do that. With the front mount set to high and the rear set to low it sits perfectly level too.

I tried it out on a demo bike at Vines Guidlford, as its bloody expensive but luckily got it off ebay for £150
