As I am soon to living away from home during the week I need to sort out some mobile internet access.
3 are offering a wireless dongle with 3 GB allowance for £15, but I am not sure how much 3GB is? can anyone explain how much surfing this would give me?
I like to look at watch forums which are usually pic heavy and also youtube for music vids if this helps???

Cheers,

Tom

If you are just looking at collecting email and viewing a few websites you would struggle to use 3 Gigabytes. A "normal" webpage is only going to be 100 - 200 kbytes and its only when you start streaming video from UTube etc. you could start eating the allowance up but remember that most home broadband suppliers limit downloads to 5 Gbyte per month so 3 is not so bad.

It's difficult to be exact about Utube file sizes but it likely to be about 10Mbyte per minute so 3 Gbyt should last a while. Even a large photo will only be 200-300 k
