Read "The Van" by Roddy Doyle .... Part of the Barrytown trilogy (with The Commitments and The Snapper) - funny as feck.

along the A82

right in the middle of Glencoe would be a good earner, but I'd doubt you'd get a licence/permit/permission.

if you're after truckers as well as bikers then here's a few ideas...
at the Corran Ferry; the Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge; at one of the big laybys on Loch Lochy; the viewpoint above Loch Garry on the A87; any of the big laybys along the north side of Loch Ness.

Is the one at the top of Glen Ogle not for sale?
Last time I was up there, thought I saw an advert.

There was a sign up in August definitely. I seem to recall they were asking £25,000 for the business.

This place is on the A96 near my home in Oyne. It's always popular with bikers, travelers and truckers. Everyone loves the idea of being able to sit down.

Just an idea...

A9 Inverness to perth, 120 miles of nothingness, unless you head off into one of the few towns / villages on the way.

Bankfoot, Birnam, Dunkeld, Ballinluig, Pitlochry, Blair Atholl, House of Bruar, Dalwhinnie, Newtonmore, Kingussie, Aviemore.

How many cups of coffee and bacon rolls does one man need in 120 miles? :D

And you forgot Ralia--very fine bacon sarnies---although why anyone would want to travel up the A9 when the 'old' road runs paralell for large chunks with no cameras--or indeed traffic--is beyond me.
