I have some Plain Castrol LM grease

I would have to go out and buy the fancy stuff.

Final drive spine. and I also need to replace the boot at the front of the shaft.

Does it really matter?

Castrol LM Grease
Lithium based, high melting point grease, specifically designed as a wheel bearing grease for use over a wide range of temperatures. Also suitable for general purpose applications

Castrol Moly Grease
High melting point, lithium based grease containing molybdenum, providing dry lubrication under extreme operating conditions.
Ideally suited for the following applications; King pins and bushes, shackles and suspension trunnions, bevel worm and peg steering boxes

I used CV joint moly grease. It does high pressure, contains a dry lube and works at high temperature.

When you say it does high pressure. What does that mean? It does not squeeze out? I was thinking that bearing grease has as much high pressure as a spline. Or does it?

The spline will quickly push out the grease but a high moly grease will leave a slippery layer rubbed into the metal surface.

Very expensive for the honda stuff.

Is it, really.....

It's not really is it in the great scheme of things.

Unless you enjoy saving a couple of quid and using an inferior product on your £563 drive shaft and £400 final drive inputshaft

You can get small tubs of Moly60 on ebay cheaply enough, you wont ever need much unless you service many bikes like Steptoe et al. Its more of a paste than a grease, so tends to stay put.

For the splines, I started with a moly dry slide lubricant that I used to use on gun slides.
It's molybdenum particles in a solvent carrier - you spray it onto a decreased part and the solvent evaporates leaving a uniform grey coating of molybdenum which you burnish with a rag. I then sprayed on another coat which I didn't burnish (you don't do this step with most guns).
Then I applied a coat of Honda Moly60.
I did this on the drive shaft, gearbox input and output splines and clutch centre (only a very sparing smear of moly60 on the clutch splines).

I lathered the driveshaft UJ's in CV joint grease.

As Steptoe says, Honda Moly60 seems expensive but for home use a tube will literally last you a lifetime - cheap insurance.

All this was on my 1100 - my TC only has 12,000 on it so I haven't had it to bits (yet).

Bearing (sic) in mind how minimally everything is greased by the factory these bikes would all benefit from this sort of treatment from new.
BMW are so worried about upsetting punters with "leaks" they use hardly any grease. This hammers the working life of the suspension rocking bearings.
