83 g/s : i have an ohlens (spelling) shock on the rear and it is a little longer that original. when the bike is on the center stand and the swing arm is evenly spaced the driveshaft rubs the inner front of swingarm(near gator). moving the swingarm up slightly it doesn't rub. is this a common problem? i am weary of it when riding and the suspension is fully extended it will rub at high speed.

all this started when i saw my swing arm was not allied by PO. and i replaced my bearings. drive shaft is in great shape(u-joint). with the swing arm allied to the left it doesn't rub in any position

any thoughts?

jim
ps my shock has a big spring(fat) on it compared to other g/s ohlens shocks i have seen.

Yes it is a common problem with an extended swing arm.

Yes it is a good idea to align the swing arm a bit to the left :thumb2

Cheers,
Michel
