Any of you well travelled folk know of any good roads between Montreux and Brugge? It doesnt have to be a direct route. Ta.

Yes.

How many days.... particularly as it does not have to be direct.

Time of year?.... Just so we know if you need an answer by next July, as seems to be the latest trend..... or if you are going in February, when it might be snowing and will definitely be dark around !6:00.

What time of day do you have to be in Brugge?

What sort of rider are you? Get up at 10am, drink coffee, press wild flowers, look at view, stop for three hours for lunch, press more wild flowers, have a cup of tea and be in the hotel, washed and fed by 18:30? Or..........

PS This is not bad, took five seconds. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr...f3rAzA&vpsrc=0&gl=uk&dirflg=ht&mra=ls&t=m&z=6 That is if you only have day.

Search my routes jaunt to Dijon / jaunt to Peronne / jaunt to Bouillon / jaunt to Ypres and get busy with your map.....

Ok.
Time of year, spring.
Doesnt matter what time I get to Brugge as long as I have a full day and a night there.
Probably have 3 days to get there, so have time to stop on the way.
Just looked at that route, Reims could be worth a look into.
Will be camping so no room for my flower press this trip.
Cheers..

Oh, up at 7, on the road at 8, bar at 7....

OK

Three days is easy, even camping.

Let's hack it around a bit.

When you look at it, there are so many alternatives.

Cut across to Basel, Mulhouse, Metz, Luxembourg......

Or Dijon, Troyes......

Get yourself the Michelin Touring map of France - Michelin France Itineraries & Route Planning Map No. 726 and you'll have it all worked out by.... February :beerjug:
