Especially the native Scot, who seems to be almost extinct up there. :(

We have the same thing here on the west coast and in southwest Cork and Kerry, although thankfully not as bad as it seems in Scotland.

yep.
i got relations down there who cant afford to buy a house in their own area due to that. :blast

to put perspective on it though...
my house is in a (now - not when we bought it :augie) popular area of the city.
the offspring of locals - born and reared in the area cant afford to buy for the same reason - "blow ins" like me. :blush

What do you mean..."will be"?........... and it was such a quiet place 10 years ago! I'm off there for a ride out today via Diabaig, get in there before the season starts.

I've just spent a week up in fearnmore and it was very quiet. But the sight of the shop in Applecross was quite sad. Shelves very low on stock, I'm sure they can't wait for the rush, at least it will keep them afloat!

ps buy your fuel off them too, definitley a case of use them or lose them. If you lived there, would you fancy a trip to Lochcarron to fill up?

Good point Andy. I've not bought fuel there since the community take over of the pumps but I know that previously folk would plan to fill up when passing through Lochcarron on the way in or out to avoid the previously high cost per litre. As with most thing in the north west - higher cost of goods dictated by remoteness and freight costs rather than greed!

I'm starting an online estate agents, then putting in a planning app for a condo complex and airport. I know a few MP's who welcome a back hander.

Also going to build a church yard and mail shot all the yanks to say I've found relatives

Going to be asking Ewan & Charlie to do the opening.:augie
