gave my 1200 a look over after my last trip...
lost my second tax disk holder so I decided to relocate the new replacement somewhere a bit more out of the way. choose to put it on one of the mounting bolts for the left side pannier only to find that the bracket had sheered in half...

Pretty impressed this broke actually as its not an unsubstantial bit of metal. God knows what caused it to go, the whole thing was fitted by Coopers Reading when I bought the bike and I've never had to remove it since.

Judging by the dirt in the break though it had been like that for a while, secure, but broken
