Thats the right way to go about it,take it in to your dealer and get them to give it an interim service explaining that the warranty is almost up and you value his opinion pointing out any concerns you may have,if its ok then its ok,but you'll have a receipt and if anything major does break then you have a bargaining tool, not nit picking your own snag list in the hope for some last minute freebees
All this coming from someone that won't even become a fully subscribed tosser (why doesn't that surprise me)

THEY ARE NOT FREEBIES
- they are items paid for by the warranty which bumps up the price of the bike in the first place.It is not "nit picking" it is sensible and helps to prevent unnessary £££'s a few months after the warranty has run out and the bike falls into pieces right in front of your eyes... lol
