terribly sad, didn't always agree with him but admired the profile he gave to bikes with the non biking public.

As a freelance he was the only journo whose opinion I would trust. He has a good website Ashonbikes and he is a sad loss. He upset some manufacturers with his honesty and he was banned by Triumph from their launches for a while as they did not take kindly to one of his reviews.

I assume that he was killed whilst test riding one of the new WC R12GSes on the South African launch.

Sad news.
