I'm not a millions miles away from Monaco at the moment, nice route through France, Switzerland, Italian side of Mont Blanc and then heading south west.

Met a Belgian guy at the supermarket with a tooled up TB, mainly Touratech and Rizoma

I personally hadn't heard of rizoma but just in case you have some gold bars left to cash in on more farkles then here's the link

A lot of money on mods there but not sure why on some of it. The mirrors on the GS/A are fine, no need to spend ~£300 on new ones. No hand guard extenders, the light protector clashes as it isn't black. The seats look nice but I'm sure he could have taken the BMW luggage or even Givi and spent the difference on de cat ti headers. Each to their own, but stock GSA would look better.

I just don't understand some of his modifications?

He's fitted some fancy bar protection around the BMW Logo? For what purpose except to add weight?

But then not fitted engine cylinder head guard covers which are the first to get smashed on a spill?

He's fitted a fancy Sump Guard for what purpose? It looks like a road bike for road use mainly?

But then not fitted frame protection from his boots, mudsling or front fender extender? Which would give him far more protection than the sump guard?

Seems odd, unless he has absolutely no intention of ever going anywhere near water, lucky man :augie

Still a nice bike and absolutely well done for riding it on his adventure. :thumb2

Rather than mine sat in my garage in Walsall with me typing on this crappy laptop, criticising his life choices haha

I need to get out more....:blast

One of the most sensible things you've said!! :clap

Agree some odd choices, as you say though, each to his own and whatever makes you happy is the right choice.

The seat was IMHO the best tweak, on my previous GS I put a heated Sargent seat on it which latest 2hrs before someone stole the entire bike, sat on this guys bike and the Wunderlich seat does seem so be more comfortable (I'm 5'11)

Would quite fancy one but haven't looked up the price - imagine it's pricey so one to ponder on.
