When you think you are all alone
As we were going down a 160 km track, I think to myself "it would be funny if someone try’s to overtake!!!"
All I can say is never temped fate
The next minute, we are pulling over to let another BMW through, only problem for this thread it was a GS1200, well at least it has GS in the name.
The biker is named Chris and all we can say is, he is mad and a great friend and a Daker mechanic. I told you - MAD
Did I say that the track is about 160 km long, it goes through boulder fields, across dried up lake beds and SAND, I hate SAND, did Cain mention that earlier
Anyway, in the middle of this track we find these two Berber's. They had run out of fuel. So one can of petrol later they where off. And we are lighter
Note to self, do not take so much equipment, we need to be lighter, bikes sink in sand.
This picture, is when we all remember that we can all get hurt very easily. At the village that is in the middle of the track, we find a lad you has full-thickness burns to his whole forearm. He had done it a couple of days before. No first aid, no understanding of what to do.
One first aid session later and a lot of advise, which included a change of dressing and another can of petrol, we are all off.
After coming off again, in the SAND, did Cain mention I do not like SAND, Cain had come off as well, we found a hard spot (no SAND) Chris rode my bike to the next hard spot (as Cain is to big for my bike).
The bike swop, just a short walk.
