Morocco 2010

Cock! :blast Read the thread again from the start :rob Then, ask yourself this question before making a statement like that....

Where is Stef....?

No dates yet. No meeting point yet. No clear ideas yet....

I'm gonna be doing my own thing anyway.... Will possibly see some of you over there.

Yep read from the first post - he was asking for company not someone to organize.

When the statement was made is was quite relevent, but as you state time is moving on.:beerjug:

Keep digging...

I don't believe I was trying to organise this ride :rob I stated, when I will be leaving, how I'm going to get there (and the reasons behind my logic), also, pretty much what kind of riding I'm going to be doing in Moroc. I expressed my joy that the group seems to be becoming more defined in terms of each persons requirements. I don't think that constitutes trying to organise this 'open invite' and I certainly did not try to take over this thread...

Now I'm not normally one for confrontation on forums cos it's a hiding to nothing, but if someone makes a statement that makes me look a CU*T, then I'll say something.

I'm out of here now. Maybe see you in Moroc...

What is wrong with you.

Read post #60 YOU APOLOGIZED FOR TAKING OVER

If you had bothered reading my last post properly then you would have seen that I was actually agreeing with you not being confrontational` - :beerjug: should have been a clue.

but if you feel a CU*T then so be it

Must have copied this before you decided to delete it - never mind

damn:blast you got to it before I could delete it!! These things just go on and on otherwise, but like I mentioned, I can't be arsed....

Have a good one in Moroc however you end up getting there...

Steve

Hi all:)

Apologies for my extended silence, I've been abroad for a few weeks and lost track.

The trip should still be on and the only other confirmed participant so far is another Belgian fellow Geert, who I found on the HUBB several months back. He seems to have a fairly solid way of getting there which is different from the Santander - Plymouth route the Brits will be taking. He is also putting together a route covering most of the nice parts. I think we'll be in Morocco for 10 days but no dates have been fixed yet. This will depend on job commitments.

I have to emphasize that getting a small group of fun loving riders together would be great but that neither of us Belgians are particularly experienced in these sort of trips. To look at me as the "leader" of this trip would probably be foolish :P

I'm a 31yr old well traveled daily rider, currently on a bike in northern Thailand, have ridden across Costa Rica on a dirtbike and lots of France and the Black Forest on my own Dakar but don't ask me how to change a tire. Just to give you an idea :)

I'm not very comfortable being the only person to select who is coming and who is not. If as many people are going as it seems then perhaps we could break off and rejoin groups according to experience, interests, stamina etc. Whatever seems good at the time.

I guess a good start would be to see who is ready to make a "maybe" into a "definitely" and I'll write back here once I'm at home and have met with Geert in the beginning of Dec.

Thoughts?

ok im in.ideal date for me would be 11april,week after easter.plym-sant.and hotel or band b all the way.cant be arsed camping.

I am interested in joining, but 3 weeks is slightly too long for me.

I'm in Rotterdam, and could should up in Belgium for a meet up.

Casper

Just did the Portsmouth-Bilbao route and can recommend it.
I know its slower and takes 2 nights but that's the beauty of it.
It sets off late & arrives early.

I've to say im in as well :D 3 weeks are ok for me and spend 10 days in Marocco is actualy my plan from last year.I didn't go yet on my bike for long trip like this, just around an Ireland and Scotland but i love traveling, adventure, camping, fun etc. I prefer a route Plymouth-Santander b'couse i got a voucher from last year and march/april any time. Still trying to get there my other two czech friends but they are not so free and crazy like me so probably i'll wait for them to say yes a long time. Hope we will keep in touch and manage a small group with the same or similar ideas :augie

Would like to join in on the Plymouth/Santander route. Approximately 10 days in Morocco, 3 weeks in total, & March/April all thumbs up for me.

What about to organise who is available and when to go to Marocco  otherwise i think that it is just :blagblah about a nothing..... Normaly i organise the trips just for myself but to Marocco i dont wanna go alone so let's do it for that something ;) as i said, just organise who is actualy going there and when and then we can manage a potential members for this trip...... :nenau What do you think? :hide

I am still keeping an eye on this thread to see what is developing.
I am interested in joining up with you guys although I won't be able to confirm anything until January 2010. The dates are fine for me and as far as hotel, B&B or camping goes I'm pretty easy going, willing to play it by ear and see what happens.

Hi
Trip sounds fun
I'm looking for a trip with company.
Ride a GSA have off road exp but not on this thing::eek:
Very flexible on dates.
Just want some good riding with some good people..
:hide :rob

Hi
Anyone looking for company for a trip to spain for
christmas..
Fancy some warm winter riding..
Or is anyone interested in another destination.
I'm just wanting to get away..:rob

no plans as yet..
Just throwing an idea into the wind.
But willing to make plans or listen to others.
You any ideas or just open to any..

i am still planning on going. hoping to leave ireland around the 27th/28th March and be away for 2.5 weeks. as suggested before, i'll ride to cork, ferry to cherbourg, down france in a day, spain in a day and be at the entrance of morocco for beginning of april if anyone wants to play. there's only one thing that could scupper this trip, which i should know about end of dec, but the chances of it scuppering it are very slim indeed. camping or B&B, not fussed either. :aidan

yeah, I am up 4 it ..
2 things:

-don’t have a fixed plan due to the fact I have not been to Morocco just yet- not sure what the best places are.

- I do preffer offroad however more like gravel, wouldn't like to throw new moto down the rocks the first months..

I recon It will be great fun :bounce1

My plan is leave Ireland on 26/3/10,go to UK,leave UK 28/3/10 arrive in Spain 29/3/10 go to Morocco...... leave Morocco 12/4 or 13/4/10 go to north Spain, leave Spain 15/4/10 arrive in UK 16/4/10..... In Morocco I'd like to see the best :augie , some offroad, dunes Erg Chebbi, good fun, camping, cheap hotels or b&b,etc. Have my trip plan already done, read a lot of guides and maps and used travel alone :( so anyone else is going with me?
