morocco advice

Back to Morocco May 09 for two weeks this time . has anybody travelled the road from Rissani to Tagounite via Agoult, if so what are the road conditions like? please remember I am not an off road God, just done a bit but not on a GSA !!Also the map shows a road fromTagounite to Foum-Zguid. is this passable? Hoping to end up in the area around Tafraoute,Whats this area like?
Done the normal route last year but looking to go further afield and south nxt year , open to suggestion. regards stuart

Hi,
You can do Rissani to Tagounite in the piste from the end the tarmac in Taouz.The pist seems good except the part of Ramlia,where there is the Ghress sandy river.You can get a local to pass the river,then continue to Fougani,and then to Tagounite.You will find a military post in a place called agout ,where you will stop to write down your names and passport numbers.
During that time of the year ,that piste is so busy with spanish,and french people.You may have the chance to stop in the campsite called Aghablou Ramlia ,just before Ramlia,and the people working there can provide you with all the info about the rest of the piste.
