I'm just in the process of choosing a tour for this autumn and Morocco is looking favourite. Has anyone done an organised tour through one of the companies that abound? I'd just like to rock up, ride, eat, sleep and come home with a decent guided tour rather than do t alone. Any companies you'd recommend?? Thanks in advance.

We're looking at doing one next March, got chatting to a guy while waiting for our luggage at Luton, he'd been on one, five days including bike hire hotel etc 1500 quid.
Wheels of Morroco was the company he used,we're planning 23rd to 29th on the bike, then a week in Agadir(push pineapple shake the tree) for a beach holiday.

Our little group is also using wheels of morroco for 2026 seem really on the ball.

I run tours down there, whereby you ride your own bike to Morocco and all the way to the Sahara Desert (I'm currently there now) Fully guided, with help and advice before we go.

I won't be doing it in the autumn, but will be running in spring 2026 if that is of any interest to you.

For your dates in the future, is it a case of checking your website for updates? I would be very interested in a 2027 dates (already have plans for 2026).

Dates for 2027 will be similar to this year. But if you ping me an e-mail, when I return to the UK I'll send you more details about the tour. Suitable for big heavy adventure bikes and/or people with no skill (no offence intended ;))

I went with Hana of motoadventours.com. Very knowledgeable girl, accomplished rider and it was a great and well organised trip.

I’ve been a few times with Johnny Maroc. He lives in Morocco and has been doing tours for years.

We went with Moto Tours about 8-9 years ago, meaning this is not very up to date. It had good points and bad. Mostly good, but the bad was a real problem for us.

The good bits. Everything was sorted. Ferries, accommodation, route, itinerary. Hotels were good quality and location. Route included Gorge du Dades, Tizi n Tichka, Tizi n Test, Marrakesh, Rick's Cafe American. In fact pretty well everything we had hoped for and a few bits we hadn't heard of. For this it's 10 out of 10.

The bad bit. We would ride for 3 hours, then stop for an hour. 3 hours was too much for us in one hit and an hour was too long to stop for especially when there was nothing there to stop for. Riding for an hour maximum, then a 10-15 minute break works much better for us, with 30-45 mins for lunch. 3 hours without a water stop was dangerous. It was October, so not ridiculously hot, but hot enough. We mentioned it but were ignored. They had a plan and were sticking to it.

If we had known their plan in advance we wouldn't have booked with them. It wasn't right for us. I would go again on an organised tour but I'd do more homework first. I would also do Morocco on my own as it's nowhere near as difficult as I'd imagined. Speaking a bit of French helps. I loved the country. The roads go from excellent to dodgy. A bit like home really. No one got ill, no one crashed although with one bloke it wasn't for lack of trying as he was a very inexperienced rider.

I hope it works out for you. It's a great country to experience.

Magellan motorcycle tours are worth looking at. I rode with them to Norway and Sweden last summer; they were well organised with very experienced guides. The GPS routes provided in advance were useful and the hotels excellent. I've booked with them again for my next tour.

These guys are very well organised and good value for money … overland motorcycle tours . The owner is British, lives in Spain, he has done a lot of trips to Morocco.

They also have a van and trailer which follows , in case of breakdown in remote areas.

Yes did a Morocco trip with them Oct 2024.
Really enjoyed it.
They book accommodation in places you would never be able to find as a solo traveller. Very well organised.
