Does anyone who has travelled in morocco know the score on making best effort to keep bike secure when not riding. At the Hotel and such like.
General info I have had from Morocco is to use guarded parking anyone got any pointer or advice.

Check open invites have got a thread setting up a trip 17th April to 2nd May if anyone is interest.,

doesnt seem to be a major problem as the locals only have mopeds and the like, but most hotels will find you some where to park and if not they will get you a night watchman to sleep with your pride and joy for a couple of Dirhams :D

Thanks

Its good to get possitive reponces once again thanks for all replys.
:)

Opportunists are everywhere especially back home:(
I read cullis had his tools nicked out there and met with sum unpleasant people on sum trail somewhere - post is on this forum - cant remember where
Kids usually interfere and try to pinch stuff if you are not looking as they did with my stuff  - little bastids:blast
same world over alas

Read the small print on the tempory import form, if your bike is nicked you will have lost your bike + you are liable for paying the import duty.

When parking in a street during the day we found paying a local person a couple of Euros to keep an eye on the bikes and luggage worked every time ... of course they would probably not have been touched anyway but it provides piece of mind.

If you offer someone 200 cigarettes, he will accompany you as a pillion for your entire trip and even sleep on the bike ! :thumb

None of our bikes were touched in the three weeks we were there.
There was one hotel where we noticed that the night watchman was wearing different clothes early in the morning from when we saw him quite late at night!
A couple of hotels let us park up within the garden and out of the way, and one hotel was next door to a police station, an officer came around and told the owner to tell us to take our bikes into the hotel foyer!

Had my GSA looked after in a garage overnight in Fes. Just a few Dirhams - all safe and well.
