What do you need for Morocco, anything above insurance? Any visa or anything?

Do you buy specific insurance as I believe UK insurance doesn't normally cover you

Me and a mate are looking to go same time for our first visit. If anybody wants a couple of newbies along then please make contact.:thumb

Hi Stridey,
I'm looking to go around 7/8/9 March & take around 3 weeks. Not really interested in off road so much as seeing interesting places, and don't fancy being part of a big group who've 'been there, done that" all before. Would do ferry to Northern Spain then ride down, may do the whole way back on the bike - depends on time.

Done Europe a few times but never Morocco so I fancy, for a first trip, a reasonably easy time.

What do you think?

I hope to do a trip to Morocco over the Easter holiday next year. I would like to explore some of the off road routes and generally experience a bit of the country. I am sure there is stacks of info on the forum which I have yet to go through, at this stage I wondered if there is anyone else planning a trip around the same time or if there is enough interest to get a small group together. Using the bank holidays I have two weeks for the trip.

Hiya - planning on using your GSA or the XC?

I'm confused by this thread. It started off with a guy asking for fellow travellers but has been merged with people interested in an organised group tour.

I'd be interested in a DIY trip but could probably only do 2 weeks and most likely on a road bike as riding my little trail bike just to Portsmouth would be painful!

The only organised group tour is the Adventure Bike Warehouse posting.
(which shouldn't really be in this section)

It looks like there may be a couple of 'open invite trips' around Easter time, the 'Dash' version as posted by Steptoe is open to all and is a 'turn up and go' event, very little pre-planning and some long days but great craic. :thumb

See the previous ride reports for more insight.

I know, I reported it yesterday, but it's that time of the year when the Yacht comes out of the water and all the mods are too busy de-barnacaling and repainting the hull to delete spam:D:thumb

If your idea of organised is nothing more than a date of departure and return, and leaving your decision to go until the day before departure and just turning up and going, and having an input of where you'd like to go while on the road, then i suppose you could call it organised. :D

Sounds like a great plan, count me in :beerjug:
