Morocco HUMM May 2015

Seems like a good crowd heading down, hope to meet some of you on the road :) Pikey, the 15th sounds doable but will have to confirm more towards the time! Pete, thanks for the offer for the place in the your team, but am pretty sure the big 1150 might struggle to keep pace :D - am certainly up for some doing some exploring though :beerjug:

Through the Rif to Fes will be great riding, also have always wanted to do the road onwards to Erfoud which I hear is also pretty spectacular :thumby:

You'll be fine, I'm coming on my GSA, not literally I must add.

Yep, just rolling out the bike, will hook up with Count Pikey and get there for 1234! I'm solo, SWMBO decided shopping was likely to be more enjoyable than listening to us talk bollix!
Bazzer

Locals will be relieved :D

Any team riding with stupidly sized bikes (1150/1200) and still looking for a team member please be in touch :beerjug:

Next week we will know if our fifth and final member can make it (technically I'm the fifth, but I'm definitely going!). Fingers crossed he can but I'm sure there will be plenty of other teams you can join in any case plus you can tag along with us after if you fancy it. If you PM one of us your email address we can add you to our distribution list if you like.

Anyway, it was good seeing the boys earlier for one final time before the big off. I'll post up the picture. See you boys in Espania!!

Pete

Great ride today, weather wasn't to bad either, just a thought though, we went all that way and you never looked over the bridge to see the trout. See you guys in Ifrane, hope it all goes well for you.

Had a problem coming back, as I was battling to get past an old lorry the gearbox exploded and all I had to fix it was a plastic spoon, which was in the pot noodle case by the way and a pair of woman's tights, god knows what they were doing in my back box, anyway I completely striped the gearbox and found that many of the gears had sheared. Luckily I saw a young chap playing with one of those diabolo thingy's so using the cone from the toy I managed to temporary convert the gearbox into a variomatic by levering the cone onto the main shaft using the plastic spoon, I then tied the pair of tights around the cone to form a loop between the shafts. Worked really well as the engine speed increased the tights worked their way up the side of the cone hence increasing the gear ratio, it worked a treat.

See all you guys in the mountains, can't wait to see the monkeys.
