Nice pics, although I'll stick to summer visitations to Maroc....

On my todd 5 years ago, just north of the gorge I hit similar. I got snowed in for 2 days. On the one hand it was way cool, a PROPER adventure. On the other hand I have genuinely never been so scared in all my life until I hit a town. Proper in the middle of nowhere and nobody to find you if you came off..................

I don't mind riding/travelling in the snow, as long as I'm on the small bike.....:D

I love it up there.
Trying to get to Agoudal from the Dades:beerjug:

snow

we got very lucky on our trip during the first week of January this year although there had been snow towards the end of 2014 and there was snow on the high atlas we crossed in perfect road conditions in bright sunshine from Marrakesh to Ouarazzate. :aidan
The second photo from Midelt is from a group on a Charley Boorman/ Billy Biketruck Tour.
The benefit of the "fly and ride" in January arriving in to Marrakesh is that there is none of this struggling from the North of Morocco to the south just to get to the better weather/ travel conditions. You can always head west and south from marrakesh avoid the high mountains. Having said that one of the pictures on Noeradine Said's page appears to show Marrakesh, looking like Detroit in january.
On a previous trip we were stuck for a few days in Marrakesh as the passes were not open but that was a much longer trip so time was not so important and there are worse place to be hanging out. I hope to go back again for another week in either September 2015 or January 2016.
