Morocco Spring 2008

Hi everyone,
I am starting to plan a trip to Morocco around the last 2 weeks of April next year. At the moment there are 2 of us who have not done it before, him on 12GS me on 1150GSA, anyone already going at this time or fancy joining us?
Planning to do Plymouth/Santander then ride down to Algeciras. The route from there has not been decided but the Tiz-n-Test is on the agenda. Thinking of carrying tent etc. just in case but prefer basic hotels. I guess that at this time of year (spring) there will be a few of you heading there so no doubt we'll see a few of this forum on the journey!

Hi Peejay i was planning to go to Morocco about the same time not been before but looking for like minded people to travel with we could meet up somewhere to discuss.I live near Bristol and ride a 12gsa.

Unless you are going with the intention of wild camping i personally would not take a tent as hotel acc. is very cheap.
Maybe see you there as i am planning another trip soon,although not quite sure when.....maybe next week or maybe next month...or year..

any idea on costings yet, ferry crossings etc, poss fuel usage, doin it on a budget, first time for us too.

Ferry about £350, petrol as much as you want to use and enough to see all you want to see. Where ever I lay my hat (helmet)........
3 of us going, ferry is booked, cant bloody wait

We're on the 4pm ferry on 13th April (Plymouth) and returning on the 25th about 10am.
Plan to stop halfway down Spain for 1 night then ferry across to Morocco, then.....route not totally planned yet.
But Chefchaoun-- Azrou-- Er-Rachidia-- Ouarzazate, is looking favourable.
