Dunnet Head to Ardnamurcham point is it doable in a day? Without burning too much midnight oil :comfort

Any hotels recommendations at either end?

Certainly doable in a day. Six to eight hours allowing for a stop or two. Should be plenty accommodation for all pockets.:thumb2

Hotels closest to the lighthouse at Ardnamurchan Point would be:

Kilchoan House - http://www.kilchoanhousehotel.co.uk/

I haven't been in there for getting on for 15 years and ISTR it was pretty run down at that time.

The Sonachan Hotel - http://www.sonachan.com/

Three of us on two bikes fetched up there for lunch in April last year. They'd just opened a posh new bar and the service was a bit disorganised but the food was good.

Northern Sands hotel in Dunnet is very nice. Good food and next to the beach.

St Clair Hotel at the other end of Dunnet bay in Castletown is nice. Excellent reputation for nosh. I know the guy who owns it personally and it's very popular with US/Canuck trans Atlantic ferry pilots who come into Wick airport.http://www.st-clair-arms-hotel.co.uk/home/index.php

Seaview at Groats 15 miles away is good for a pissup with the locals, food's good here too..and you can do the touristy bit as well whilst you're there:thumb

Let me know if you need any more info on digs etc.

I'm interested. What do you feed her on?

Edit: apart from the kitchen table...

She's already eaten the kitchen table.......

She generally eats what she catches...so tins of soup are common, not many hares, definitely no deer and the odd Linda McCartney veggie pie.

Housetrained but moves things that don't need moving.

A friend of mine has a static caravan that she lets out about 250 meteres from the pub

It's class place to stay and roam out from for a look see!

Go down to Kilchoan harbour and get the ferry to Tobermorry a.k.a. Ballamorry :D Down thru Mull to Craignure and a wee ferry thru to Oban and then down the side of Loch Awe,

Do not be expecting to fly down the road from ardgour to kilchoan it's single track for 40 miles although it's got a lot better some sight lines and surfaces are pure shite
