Most pointless accessory yet?

i have inside info that they are soon launching the Tread Protector (tm), which consists of a carbon fbre mesh you wrap around your tyres thus proteting them from wear.

from the email;
'You know how it is and long trips. Tyre wear can often be a problem on the road and trail. Worry no longer, these Tread Protectors, according to our extensive testing in South America, will increase your tyre life by 50%. Surely something no serious traveller should be without.'

Theres a picture of the prototype too... but I am assured they will be black to match your tyres. A snip at 350 Euros a pair (thats for any tyre size too).

One day TT will finally sell a brake/clutch/fuel hose protector to prevent tampering.

Though I believe the car industry might have nailed that one... a TT Landy?

Actually Mike that there horn protector is very handy on full lock turns with a tank bag on... rest assured ;)

This though, is about much use as a chocolate fire guard ..... :eek:

Oh Micky, I wouldn't ever part with it, never,never, never...
no matter how many beer tokens were dangled in front me.....
It sits on my pride & joy, alongside Santrix's tread protectors, and I swear the bikes faster for it....
