Was talking to a Guzzi Cali owner the other day, as I've always fancied one I was asking what it was like to live with, he said
"Its like having a retarded child, you love it to death, but never stop looking after it" made me laugh :bounce1

Picked up mine today :)

California Stone touring. Fantastic engine, handles, stops and sounds glorious :thumb2

I was going to buy a Harley but a few minutes at the dealership with the HOG twats strutting their stuff was enough to persuade me I didn't want anything to do with the brand.

:clap

Can't believe you were considering a Harley over a Guzzi :eek ;)

:postpics

Having had 'old' Guzzis I reckon the new engines are a peach and as for build quality, it's come on loads, up there with the best these days :thumb2

I much prefer my Guzzi to my GS

Gratuitous piccies of the love of my life:

Now thats a nice looking bike :thumb2
Fancied a cruiser for a while now, must be getting old, but don't want a Harley or a Jap Harley clone so it would have to be a Guzzi :D

it's not my imagination is it? guzzi's are actually becoming cool again

Agree. :thumb2 Still lusting after a Griso, maybe next year. Anyone seen the SE in the flesh yet? I quite like the look of it with the spoked wheels, green colour and brown seat for some unknown reason.

Not for long.

It is an irreversible law of nature that as soon as something becomes "cool" it will become "uncool" rapidly (see Trippy's posts re: 1200's and certain tents).

The antidote to the fickle nature of "coolness" is to not give a flying fcuk what anyone else thinks about your bike, suit, helmet or camping gear. :thumb2

P.S. I've always fancied a Guzzi, T3 California would be nice but I'm not quite convinced.

oh the irony! :(

here's me getting itchy feet and thinking of getting shot of both my Airhead and my Guzzi. :blast

i am fed up feckin about with old Bikes  (at this moment in time / liable to change / fickle as the weather me  / but this thought keeps coming back)

but i must admit the thought of a Bike you just turn the key in and off you go....
:mmmm it IS appealing!

then wtf stops me?

the almost certain knowledge in advance that -
after a week i'd be bored rigid with some bland UJM.. or even bland European Bike.
but life would be undeniably simpler if i just had a little more money and a little less good taste! :P

p.s;
ffs dont anyone mention these thoughts to Mrs Og. as She loves both the Airhead and the Guzzi. :rob

What a day to be off work

Just took the Guzzi out for a blast. What a bike. It's got the kind of looks that only a mother could love but it makes up for it in the way it rides and eats the miles.

A lot of bike for £3k

Bloody typical though. Only had it a few minutes and I've already broken the indicator :(

Thats OK Rob as indicators are electricary thingies and the Guzzi is Italian
so i would not worry too much about it as it will not be the last electrical
problem you have... :augie All in Jest Rob i do fancy a Guzzi myself but
finding room for it is the problem. I have a big lump of blue-ish grey-ish
plastic in the garage for a guzzi, creen lower i think...i will take a pic and
stick on here incase anybody wants it.
