Slightly odd add in so much as I'm taking this on tour on 16 to 30 June, then looking to sell it.

Its a 2019 with 20k on it.

Ronald McDonald version.

Full MDSH, last one 50 miles ago, in prep for this tour, at 1700 quid, ouch.

All fluids and 2 new O2 sensors, valves etc etc.

Itll have MOT in early June.

Farkle wise........

Full Guzzi metal luggage.
Professional Tubeless Conversion, holds PSI perfectly
Capnord Front Fender.
Cruise.
Heated Grips.
Main Stand
Crash Bobbins.
Additional light on nose.
2 Seats, comfort and low.
3 Screens - touring screen on at momnent.
Micky Mouse Vibe reducers near fork yolks fitted.

I think that's about it.

I've been all over on this and its a great bike, never had any issues with it, o2 sensors changed due to mileage on recommendation of my MG main dealer.

It will do around 2500 ish miles on tour in June then Ill look to sell.

Price wise......... happy to discuss with anyone who is genuinely interested. (I know I know.............4000 quid as a starting discussion point).

Anyone who knows me knows I ride a lot, and that also look after my bikes.

I've had my money worth on this and would like it to go to a good home, rather than 'we buy any pile of shit . com' or similar.

Theres a good deal to be had here........

I'd rather talk on phone to any interested parties, as I say, I'm clearing my life out prior to retiring and travelling, so someone can get a great bike here at a mutually convenient / attractive price.

If someone simply cannot contain their excitement, I can discuss selling earlier, but my preference is to do this tour on it then sell.

The best colour scheme with the fullness of time will be the Iconic colour scheme..👌

oddly, BMW had an Iconic colour scheme for the R1200RS. It was a version of brown. Careful with those adjectives ...

This is my BMW with the iconic colour scheme, but in my defence I am Colour Blind; I’m just off for lunch at Portmeirion I’m a Free Man..✌️

Funnily enough I was thinking about one of these yesterday. I am thinking of downsizing from the 12150GSA later in the year, I want something lighter and as the wife no longer goes pillion I don’t need the capacity.. I want something in the 800-900cc range and must be shaft drive and the V85 is the only bike out there that fits the bill. I also have a Moto Guzzi itch to scratch so a V85 will tick both boxes. Sadly, I’m not looking to change until later in the year as I have a couple of tours to France coming up.

May I ask what GPS you use on the V85?

if you buy a later version of the V85TT Travel it has a satnav via an app on a phone. You get a 3 year licence with a new bike. Not sure I would pay after that. It gives basic instructions on the screen and voice commands to a headset. I have worked out how to use it but I would only deploy it if my primary satnav conks out. The app will also play music from the phone and make/receive calls. I have not tried these functions.

My primary unit is my old faithful Garmin Zumo 390, fixed to the bars with a RAM ball and U bolt.

other versions of the V85 do not have the satnav function as standard.

If you have a BMW Nav you could just get another cradle and use that rather than letting it go with the bike.

Hiya,

I have a old garmin mount which I use with an adapter for an XT.

Mounting the mount wise….

Ali Bastardo bar fitted to existing points, I think it was about 10 to 15 quid.

Works a treat, direct to battery. 👍🏽

Hi All,

Had a fair bit of interest in this which is great.

A member is looking at it for his family, so out of fairness to him so he doesn’t travel for a test ride, then found this has been sold, I’ll put a ‘check firing’ on it until Saturday.

I think that’s fair.

Regarding the bike,

I get back from Europe on 27 June so realistically 29 onwards would be OK.

It will have done about 2500 to 3000 miles post service so ok there.

Tyre wise, on return they will have done around 5000 miles, so OK but probably the first consumable that’ll come up.

Clearly if I have a cake and arse party with the bike on tour then I wouldn’t sell it on; therefore I’d suggest agreeing on a price prior to tour, subject to the bike being as agreed on return.

Happy to do it on a verbal handshake as I wouldn’t be comfortable taking someone’s money prior to headed off.

Hope that all makes sense.

Hi Wessie, I'm not sure I am convinced by these connected Apps and I like to plan my route on a laptop all choosing the roads I wish to travel and then download them to a GPS. I have a BMW Nav 5 so I guess a could use that as long as I can get a mount for it.
