I have decided it’s time to sell my Moto Lug trailer as I haven’t used it since buying a van a couple of years ago.
I originally bought this as a single trailer and then added the twin conversion.
I would prefer to sell this complete, but I will consider selling the trailer and the conversion separately. However, I will not sell the trailer by itself until I have a buyer for the conversion, so if that is your preference there may be some delay until the single trailer is available.
Since I would prefer to sell both together, if you are interested in the conversion let me know, but I will want a little time to try and sell both together.
The trailer and conversion were built in different years so when put together as a twin there is a small difference in load heights, but it tows perfectly. Also the single trailer had a modification done by the previous owner to the rear brackets that hold the lights - lowering them so that a bike can be run off without removing the number plate board. This means that when the link piece at the rear between the two ramps is inserted it will look twisted. This may put some off, but I had this checked by Moto Lug themselves and it causes no issues when towing. It’s just a small cosmetic point that some may find annoying.
The trailer is fitted with the 10” wheels which makes for a much better towing experience.
Included with the trailer is a spare wheel and spare wheel mount; these will be sold with the single trailer or with the complete outfit.
The lighting system is fully functional, fitted with a standard 7 pin plug. If you have the later Euro plug it’s easy enough to buy a converter that works perfectly.
The trailer has some rust as can be seen in the photos. The powder coating on these trailers is frankly not the best. However, the rust does not affect the performance of the trailer it is surface rust only.
The conversion however, has hardly been used and is in very good condition with only a few signs of rust.
Today the SE Plus sells for £1395, the Conversion for £795 and £1895 for the Twin. Note that those prices are for 8 in wheels only.
I am looking for £950 for the twin complete.
If selling separately I am looking at £650 for the trailer and £400 for the conversion.
