Moto Morini celebrates the 50th anniversary of the iconic 3 1/2 model by presenting its successor at EICMA. The look of the new Moto Morini 3 1/2 is both classic and dynamic , with a shape that makes the bike appear thrust forward. Numerous details catch the eye, from the 15-liter fuel tank to the 78 cm-high vintage-style seat. The headlights are LED, and the dashboard features a TFT display with an integrated navigator. The engine is a new 60° V-twin, 350 cc, capable of 32.6 hp and 31 Nm of torque.

Hmmm - Haaaaa - Hmmmm - Haaaaaa........I like it !!

I would much prefer an original wire wheeled Sport with the Grimeca drum front brake, but no doubt this will be a far better bike in every respect. A proper little 3 1/2 V twin n'all - I would have been moaning if they had fitted a parallel twin or a single.

The original looked better than it rode IMHO, but that's often a truism with classic bikes. Happy days dreaming at N. Leicester Motorcycles eh.

The new model seems practical enough, albeit just another Chinese clone without any real identity to add to the ever growing list.

The only time I ever rode the original 3 1/2 I'd just got off a Jota, so it seemed a little weedy.

Can't say a modern bike with 32.6 hp is getting me drooling either.

Did "Morini" actually show the bike at EICMA or is that rendering the only thing we have?

Since Chinese company Zhongneng Vehicle Group took over Moto Morini, new models and, hopefully, some stability has seen yet another revival from the famous brand.

After the last MM re-boot fail, this might just start to get more interesting, if the initial bread & butter offering proves reliable at a sane price point.

As a retro I think that’s a nice bike. Same market as the Goldstar perhaps.

41.7bhp for the Strada and I bet at 160Kg it was lighter.

I agree my 3 1/2 was no powerhouse beautiful handling though

I sold mine and bought an RD350 LC that I had tuned by Terry Beckett and went proddie racing - that was a powerful 350

I did the Moto Giro on a Ducati 350 Scrambler a few years ago. Rode some of it with another lad on a Morini 3.5. The SCR had more grunt out of the corners but the 3.5 had more top end. As you might imagine, both were bloody good fun.

Since intelligent people think Chinese bikes are the future (I read it here) why didn't they call it the Zhongneng 3 1/2 or 350? Are they embarrassed about it's provenance ?
