About the hardest part of fitting them was getting the little sticker under the black hoops lol

They look great, but is the saving sufficient to forego the matching keys, do they fit the OEM mounting points ?

No they dont fit on the gsa rails, under £700 for panniers and top box and all mounting hardware, is a few extra keys really that much of a problem, for me it isnt

Got to say they do look good for the money :thumb

The top box definitely looks bigger than the bmw, are the panniers also bigger ?

I think there 160 ltr total, I know I can get my xl tour x4 in the top box , I couldn't do that with the give outback 58 ltr one

And the givi ones look like the bmw ones, they all copy each other, after all there just an aluminium box

True.

However, there are differences. Not saying good or bad, but different.

The BMW boxes have the slanted corners welded, where as most others just bend a plate and slide on plastic corners. The welding makes the box more sturdy.
Around the edges of the opening the BMW boxes have a very tiny lip that does not narrows the opening. This makes it easy to slide the innerbag in/out of the box.
The OEM key is already mentioned.

The BMW top-box is rather small. You will understand why once you have tried a bigger one. At higher speeds the larger box will make the bike wobble. (That said, my Givi 58L starts the wobbeling when exceeding 190km/h, so a rather academic problem to most riders).
Personally I use both. I use the 58L Givi when I bring the boss along. In addition to the extra room the Givi box is mounted further back, providing more room for the pillion (and bringing the CG further back)

Anyway, I deliberately use the word different rather then worse/better. It all depends on how you use the box.
By pointing out the differences we may make our choice based on ambitions and needs.

I think the graphics improved the looks ;) :okay

I'm tempted to get the top box as well as the BMW one (as stated) is tiny. I was very surprised coming from a Triumph Explorer 1200 as I imagined most brands the boxes were similar sizes the Beemer one is tiny. I believe the Triumph one is just a rebranded Givi Trekker. My missus says on the GS she feels like shes sitting much further forward and I noticed that too as I could feel her. I wonder if the Givi might be a good option if it's mounted slightly further back. The pics of the MotoPro top box make it seem like it's very close to the pillion area (like the BMW one).

Having both the BMW 35L and the Givi 58L alubox, the Givi-box will provide an extra 5 cm of space, and according to the boss a more comfortable angel for her back. Also, the BMW rubber back-support is kind of narrow ( given the narrow box). She reports the back support on the Givi to much more comfortable. (mainly because it is wider)
