A couple of friends are renting XT660s from loc2roues this coming February, the company gets good reports from customers and I'll let people know how we get on.

There's a high import duty on all motor vehicles in Morocco, so costs may be higher than you would expect.

I met a group of guys on XT660s and a Transalp who had hired in Agadir, but I don't know the company name. I'm not aware of anywhere in Casablanca, but there probably is somewhere.

The other alternative is Peter at http://www.bikershome.net in Ouarzazate

Hello Tim,
Thank you veru much for reply!!!

I spoke to these guys http://www.m2r.ma/
The suggest Honda Tornado 250 (saying 2009 year)
But I think it is not very good for 2 people ride with staff.
But this is for the 800 eu for 18 days - what we can afford...))

What do you think?

Will try to contact loc2roues

Should we spend some time in Casabl for finding rents?
Or, there is no sense in it?

Thank you!
look forward to hear from you!

I think the Honda would be OK for one person provided they are not travelling huge distances on tarmac, but two-up with luggage might be a challenge.

It's embarrassing how many times I've been overtaken on difficult pistes when I'm on my 1200GSA by a couple of young guys riding two-up on a 90cc moped. :eek

Take lots of warm clothes. Thermal underwear is good as you can wear it in the evenings as many auberges don't have particularly good heating.

Thanks for the four video's you put on YouTube Alex, I really enjoyed them. I recognised a lot of the places you filmed and I'm pleased you obviously had a great time. I'm going back to Morocco this September, looking forward to that. :thumb

M2R

I’m just back from Morocco, and rented a bike at m2r for a 10 day trip, by experience wasn’t that great though (riding marroc was) with this company, the bike broke down, after we asked our money back for the days we didn’t use the bike, these people refused, which forced us to spend a day at a police station, after which they finally gave us our money back.. The owner of m2r threatened to empty our credit card after.., don’t trust these guys and try to find a more legit company...
