How about a little gel battery to keep the electronics happy with one of these to kick the starter over.

I got my Odyssey used about 6 months old.
The little metal terminal link provided with the battery is IMO not fit for purpose. Very Wkward to fit. But it's MUCH easier to fit the battery with terminals to the front of the bike.
The wires can easily be rerouted to suit. Use rubber pads to prevent the bracket rubbing paint etc.

Swapping for the correct battery on Thursday & will take your advice on fitting.

Motorworks sell a PC535GS which is a battery modified by an independent company and sold on ... at a profit.

The wrong battery I got fits most 1150s and some 1200s apparently?

BMW do some strange things, mine must be the only twin cam 1200 with a traditional fuel gauge float?

Nope, later TCs had floats not that feckin strip that always fails.

Mine went in for a failed strip & BMW were surprised to find a float in the tank ... that had fallen apart!
