Looking for pref a motorhome but I wouldn't rule out a campervan.

Min requirements:

Less than 6M in length (limited parking)
Fixed bed - NO over-the-cab beds (way too old for that shit)
Toilet/Shower
3/4 seated belts

That's about it - cash waiting.

Try to keep it under 3500 kilo as well, just a suggestion.😊

Are you really sure you want a fixed bed? Especially in a van under 6M.
We do. I know it limits us but they are out there. We just don't want to be getting out of an over-the-cab bed at 2 in a morning when we're dying for a pee and we also don't want to be making up a bed every night hence the fixed bed requirement.

Cheers - is that the limit for driving on a regular car licence ?
Yes...and also allows use where there are 3.5t weight limits....and cheaper tolls if going abroad.
How about one with a drop down bed?
What's your budget? Obviously hugely affects what you can get.
We are 21mths into our first moho ownership. We spent ages looking at what we wanted as everything we had read pointed towards the 2nd or more likely the 3rd one you buy is the keeper. We didn't want all the hassle of chopping and changing and are very happy with ours, layout, size, driving, economy etc. (It is a 6.6m slimline Chausson....so not posh but has plenty of carrying capacity . I'd suggest that anything of 3.5t total that already weighs 3t is likely to be overweight when fully laden. Ours weighs 2720kg empty and 3300kg full...full water, diesel, two adults, 2 push bikes, food and 'stuff' for weeks away)
I saw my mates 6m Peaugeot Boxer van conversion at the weekend. I was impressed but it was definitely built for a sole purpose...weekends away with push bikes so double bed with not much headroom, garage underneath..small loo but no shower)
Ours is an s697, the s514 fits your description but people are still asking stupid post covid prices and stuff isn't selling.

I’ve got a 6m van(not for sale) with a fixed rear bed, works well with a front Dinnette which gives you the 4 belted seats, we only have a toilet, no internal shower as the extra space needed restricts the middle of the van, we have an external shower point, it’s only the 2 of us most of the time but the dinette seat converts to a grandkid size bed.

Very nice. I'd forgo the shower to be honest - the important bit is the toilet so we're not hiking to the toilet block at 2 in the morning.

Have a look at benimar mileo 202. Dropdown bed but drops low, decent layout, 4 belts etc.. we’ve had one for 2 years and love it. Everything’s a compromise with motorhome, unless you’re lucky enough to have unlimited funds and live in USA where roads are decent!!

Never quite sure where the line is drawn between motorhomes and campervans although our’s is definitely a campervan but with a shower and fixed bed although only 5.65 metres long. It’s home made and designed specifically for travelling, meaning that we rarely stay more than 2 nights in the same place. We can be entirely self contained for about a week if the need arose (water storage being the limitation). There are only 2 of us and the dog but it is compact and easier in the nice weather when we can eat outside but we have managed 3 six week winter trips.

I wanted something that could take the bike with me so did this. It has a fixed bed but you have to climb the ladder to get in

Great setup, pretty much how I operate out of my T6. I even have the same bog for emergency use only which I have never had used yet. No roof tent though so I either put a quick erect tent (Vaude) or just sleep outside under the roll out awning.

I've recently bought a Trigano Tribute , and just on our way home from our first week away in it to the NW200, they are just under 6mtr length have 4 belted seats , it has the very comfy double bed across the rear which can be left made all the time BUT can also be pivoted up if required which would then allow a small motorcycle to be carried on your trips if required. It is classed as 3 berth but the 3rd is not full length. They have compact shower room and toilet , hot water and diesel fired hot air heating. So well worth a look at. Ours is a 2.2 5 speed but will cruise at motorway speeds and averages about 34mpg.

Thank you everyone for all your replies. We just put a deposit down on a motorhome at a local dealer. It's got a French bed and while technically a 3 berth (with 4 seated belts), it's gonna be snug with 3 people but that's OK, 99% of the time it will be the 2 of us and the dog. They are going to fit a bike rack on the back and an awning so it will be a few weeks yet before we can actually pick it up. Gonna be a long few weeks (especially with the weather as it is lately...).
