I can see from their website the Car Park at Cramlington is pay on exit. I’m happy to do that, but are there any designated motorcycle spots anywhere in the hospital? - two bikes me & bro visiting our aunty. I can’t see anything on the website. Or are the entry & exit barriers ride-roundable and we can park in unused corners?

Similar question for Rake Lane Hospital as she may be being moved there.

In the absence of any info being offered, perhaps a recce (if convenient) may resolve the issue. It’s an excuse for a ride, if one was needed!

Edit….definitely North Tyneside Hospital now aka Rake Lane. Parking info required for there.

When I were a lad i used to live on Preston Grange estate which abuts the hospital. The estate predates the hospital by 10years or more.

Your best bet if you can't see anywhere else that bikes are parking on Google earth, ring up the hospital. I had to go to Medway Maritime and could see some areas where you could slot a bike into but I thought I'd check about approved bike bays, I was put through to security where I was told where the bays were and how to push my bike over the footpath to gain access and egress without having to go through the barriers of the main carpark, very helpful.

I’ve been a regular visitor to both, via Blood Bikes and live between the two. I can’t say I’ve ever noticed any bike parking at North Tyneside, however Cramlington does have bike ‘huts’ as you drive in on the right and they will be free as they are outside the car park barriers. You could easily park across the road from NTGH.

If you park at either (especially Cramlington ) make sure you utilise decent heavy duty locks . The place is a magnet for all the local shite and druggies on a night time.

The area that was allocated to motorcycles and cycles appears to have now been converted to cycles only
