It's been out for about a week, but somehow I forgot to post it here.

App Name is : Best Biking Roads

For 2.39 GBP you can use all the routes from BestBikingRoads.com, add them, comment and so forth.

The main difference between this app and the website is that it uses geolocation to show routes 'Near Me' which is very convenient when you're out and about looking for places to ride. The route add feature is also much less clunky than the site itself (I am working on those changes for the main site too), here are some screenshots:

Link to more info here

And link directly to App Store here

For those of you not native english speakers, the app is available in French, German, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, Italian, Swedish and Polish

Currently this is App is rated 1 in 'Navigation' -> 'New & Noteworthy' so Apple like it, so the future looks bright!

Looks interesting, must be worth a couple of quid.

I'm gonna buy the Polish version coz I like a challenge

Be nice if we could have an iPhone app for UKGser:augie

that looks handy, particularly when you're out and about and think 'I know, I'll take the back roads from here'. Now if only you could link it to the tomtom on the phone, that would be very handy.

I am a member on the site too I find the site ok except d/l the way points for TT

I think the waypoint problem is caused by all the multilanguage content on the site, I am as we speak, trying to address that.

I think the 'routes near me' feature is also my favourite feature, very handy!

If you like the app, please rate it, I'd be very grateful

Apple uses a system of ratings where 5 people need to review the app before it's given a rating. So if you like the app, I'd be much obliged to you if you'd review and rate it.

Many thanks

David

That's what I was hoping you'd say :)

Just an FYI, if create a login with a space in it. You will have problems logging in, version 1.1 has a fix for this and is waiting for approval from apple. If you already have a site login that contains this character, contact me and I can change it for you.

I've had a few questions about the 'nearby routes' feature.

Just to clarify, the 'Location Services' on your device must be switched on for this to work, if you're not sure what that is, this is how you check:

iPhone -> Settings -> General -> Location Services -> ON

Start BBR App, allow location services.

Also I've fixed the d/l of waypoints on the main site as of yesterday (another midnight fix :))

Enjoy the sun if you're not already.

HTC HD2, now that's a real phone worthy of your talented efforts ;)

Please note for iPhone 4 users, there is currently a problem with the routes 'near me' feature for this version of the iPhone. An update is just being submitted to apple with a fix for this and a couple of other little fixes.
