Looking for recommendations or help

Had intended to nip over to Spain on Wednesday (i.e. in 4 days) but been having problems booking the ferry. My brother is now getting cold feet as he's still running-in his Enfield Himalayan.

So we're hatching a backup plan for him to visit me in the Lake District (and explore the Lakes and Dales together) but that's along way to go at running-in speeds on a Himalayan!

So thinking of borrowing/renting a bike trailer for a week or so.

I found Berkshire Trailer Hire, they see to have one, but thought I would ask here for ideas/recommendations...

He is based in Caversham, Reading. He has a towbar on his Ford Kuga.

I’ve used them before, they were fine. Make sure there’s a ramp or some way of getting the bike on, plus they don’t supply any straps, so he’ll need some ratchet straps.
Don’t leave the bike unattended on the trailer, risk of theft, or get a box trailer but they’re more expensive.

Personally I’d just ride it, take A and B roads, still get there in a day.

Ive used Berkshire Trailer Hire before, i hired a three bike trailer with ramp and straps, about £40 for 24hrs if I remember right. I would recommend him.
