Great news guys. I'll be back as an independent BMW technician in early 2025. But this time I'm going mobile. Serving the Wirral, Liverpool, Chester and North Wales area.

I believe I hold the title as the most experienced and qualified BMW technician to be currently active in my area. As well as my in depth experience in Overland travel advice preperation and customisation.

After difficulty finding a suitable new workshop in 2024 I peddled my wares for BMW Chester. But it didn't sit well with me.

I knew I could do so much better serving my local Motorcycle community as a face to face independent. With the aim to save my customers up to 50% on main dealer prices. All In the comfort of your own garage or driveway.

I'll be back even more prepared than before. Given my vast experience, I've been accepted and recognised as a BMW independent workshop by BMW themselves. I will now have access to the genuine BMW software and systems. So I am currently investing heavily. I will have all the lastest manuals, software and be able to upload service data to BMW mission control to maintain warranties. In a nutshell, I should be able to do anything your local dealer can do apart from conduct warranty repairs.

Being mobile, I will be limiting my availability to mainly servicing, accessories and software diagnostics. There is only so much I can do out of a van. But probably much more than you'd think.

Get the kettle on will you !! I'll be opening my calendar for March 2025.

No lines currently drawn. As an independent I'm flexible. It could be a case of me visiting you on the way home from a weekend visiting friends etc.

Personally I can't think of a disadvantage. As long as they're qualified, insured, equipped and legitimate.

Personally I compare it to having a personal chef who can cater to personal requirements at at half the price of going to Macdonald's.

It’s a 2020 1250GSA, the cost to non-service plan holders is £415.

For a main dealer, that's near the most competitive prices I've seen. Possibly a winter discount.

I'd still be at least £100 cheaper. If not more, depending on the scope of the service.

No. But it can be done using other methods.

Most of the 'special tools' exist because the average dealer tech is even more of a special tool and can't be trusted to use a straight edge

Big shout out for Ted who rocked up earlier today and did a full service on my F700GS. He arrived on time , listened to what I thought was needed , made his own suggestions and completed the service promptly without any fuss.
