Such a pity that this isn't 2 weeks earlier when I am at home

Thanks Steve. Yes, I agree and hope that folks feel able to support this event. Just so that there are no misconceptions, this event is hosted and sponsored by Motorrad Central. In my 36 years of motorcycling, I can't recall when a dealership has pushed out the boat quite so far to offer an event to both their customers and the general public.
Perhaps I should also add that that event is also supporting two charities, ie Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy - http://www.nordoffrobbinsscotland.org.uk/
and the Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre in Edinburgh - http://www.mstherapycentres.org.uk/centre_edinburgh.htm
Oh and here's a wee pic of Simon Pavey and the Off Road Skills team at Knockhill earlier today....

Yes, of course - it's really more a trackday for your own bike with the bonus of laps with instruction on an S1000RR if you want to do that bit.

Saturday's on-track, off-road and road demo rides are completed.
Gary Mullen and the Works are currently on the Rock Radio stage in the paddock.
There are still some places left on both the track day and the Off Road Skills Extreme Challenge tomorrow. The demo fleet will also be back in action again. So if you'd like to roll up to Knockhill Racing Circuit early doors and book yourself in, you can have a great day's riding.
Remember that there's also an off-road circuit laid out by Simon Pavey and the Off Road Skills Team, where you can ride your own bike for a donation to charity.

I took 2 sessions with the off-road-skills team today, and it was possibly the best days riding I've ever had. Winning a day in the school in Wales topped the day off nicely too. Back tomorrow for some track-day fun.

We should probably mention that you started the day in the Novice class, came back for a second round in Expert and won the Spirit of the Day Award. Glad you had a great time - that makes all the hard work wothwhile and well done on your win....

Home after an action packed weekend. To be honest i was grudging the money before i went,However it was definately worth it.Also did two sessions on saturday off road,the second was a razz around with Simon Pavey,who by reputation is known as a good bloke.Spot on .He was great craic and entusiastic,obviously is pretty handy on a bike.The grand finally was the big hill he let us try.
Was back out today with Simon,again great fun and tuition,a bit more slippery after the overnight rain.

Thanks for recognising the amount of work that went into organising the event. It took several people and a lot of time to pull it all together. I think as you've indicated though, huge thanks are due to Simon Pavey and the Off Road Skills team for their input. Their energy and enthusiasm made the Extreme GS Challenge the hugely enjoyable event which it was for the participants.
Neither could it have been done without the co-operation of Knockhill staff and Rock Radio. Then there were the exhibitors and trade stands in the paddock and Mattie Griffin - did you see Mattie Griffin's Stunt Show....!?!?!?
There's too many folk who should be thanked and it's not entirely my place to do so but I'm certainly grateful to everyone who helped me play my small part in organising the proceedings. The KTM....was that the SMT in the paddock on the trailer.
However, there's one thing you're missing. You're now officially a "conquest customer" which means that you have to buy ein Über Motorrad. Resistance is useless as the Vogons would say.....

My Ktm was safely tucked up in my garage,Altough i did notice the one on the trailer.
I felt that everyone was very helpful and friendly over the whole weekend,and as you say an event only works if everyone works as a team.I think it is possibly already planned for next year?

Just got back from sunny (very) Italy this afternoon, to find my laddie had spent yesterday afternoon honing around Knockhill on a S1000RR, courtesy of Pirelli. Lucky wee bugg-r.
He's only just turned 19 and his only previous experience of a "big" bike has been his restricted ER6.
As you'd expect he thoroughly enjoyed himself.
